Families moving to Tucker usually start with the big questions: which neighborhood, which parks, which schools. The Justin Landis Group covers the neighborhood side well in Tucker, GA’s Best Neighborhoods for Families in 2026, from Tucker Day on Main Street to the parks kept up by Friends of Tucker Parks.
Once the boxes are unpacked, here’s a family outing that gets everyone off their screens and working together.
An hour where the whole family is on the same team
Mind Busting Escape Rooms runs eight private escape rooms at the Northlake exit off I-285. Your family gets 60 minutes to solve its way out of a story together. Every game is private, so it’s just you, and a game master watches every game and steps in with clues when you need them.
- Best for first-timers and younger kids: Narco is our most beginner-friendly room, and Trophy Heist and Detective Slayer are also on the easier side.
- Teens who want a challenge: Isolation, CIA Black Site and Mafia Boss are our three hardest rooms.
- Age rules: most rooms have no minimum age and are family-friendly with adult supervision. Cartel is 12 and up. Children 8 and under play free, and every player, including kids, needs to be on the waiver.
Why it works for new families
A move is stressful for everyone. An escape room gives the family a shared win in a new town, and it’s a natural birthday-party idea once the kids start making friends at school. Rooms hold 2 to 10 players (Cartel holds up to 6), and bigger groups can play several rooms at the same time.
Good to know
- Open every day from 11 AM, with late start times until 11:30 PM (11:45 PM on Saturday).
- Every room has an emergency button by the door that anyone can press to leave at any time.
- Free on-site parking.
